Rebourn 900 Logo PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 December 2008 13:53

The logo shown is the result of a competition run through the Redbourn schools.

It is based on a combination of two excellent designs by the following children:

Harry Hughes, age 11 from St Luke’s School

and

Elsbeth Bailey in Year 2 at Redbourn Infant and Nursery School

Congratulations to them! This logo will be used on all our posters and publicity over the next eighteen months as we prepare for these special celebrations.

We would like to record our thanks to all the children who entered. Alas, we could only have one logo but the following entries were highly commended:

Isabel Hedges, Ben Collett, Isobel Wellsbury and Katherine Pickering Lings

Redbourn Junior School – Governors Needed PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 October 2008 20:26

Following a recent Ofsted inspection which judged Redbourn Junior School as Outstanding, we are looking for members of our community who will work with us to build on this success and take our school into an exciting future.

No special qualifications are needed to become a school governor. School governors come from a variety of backgrounds and this is a strength. You’re not expected to be experts in educational matters – that’s the responsibility of the Headteacher and the teaching staff at the school.

However, if you take on this role, you will need to be interested in the work of our excellent school, our teachers and pupils and be able to give some time, on average perhaps an hour a week, to support it.
